Whippets are joyful souls. They take delight in life’s simple pleasures — chasing a falling leaf, curling up in your lap, or trotting alongside you on a walk. They are gentle, friendly, and non aggressive toward people or other animals. In fact, it’s virtually unheard of for a whippet to bite. They get along beautifully with other dogs — and even cats — and will bark to alert you to visitors, but they are not yappy dogs. Their calm, affectionate disposition and steady temperament make them perfect companions for children, the elderly, and everyone in between.
